JESSIE SCOTT
Jessie was born and raised in Orange, CA. Growing up, she spent much of her time with her grandparents dog(s) and tortoise, where her love for pets began and grew.
She attended Santiago Canyon College where she graduated with her Associates Degree in Business Management. After graduation, she previously worked for another dog walking business before branching out and opening up her own business, Walk’n Wag’n Pets (May 2016). Much of her experience of how to properly run a business is due to the help of many close friends, and it is because of them that Walk'n Wag'n Pets continues to grow.
Having owned difficult dogs before, Jessie has a passion to work with the dogs who tend to be overlooked due to behavioral problems. She believes not one training style fits all dogs and offers many options when it comes to working with dogs. Her approach is balanced meaning that both praise and correction is needed for a well balanced dog. Her experience stems from training under a few other dog trainers within Orange County, attending hands on workshops to further her skills, and taking online courses to further her knowledge in all types of dog personalities and behavior.
When not working, Jessie enjoys volunteering with various dog rescue groups such as Coastal German Shepherd rescue, Doggie Bonez rescue, and Mutts in Need whether that be training dogs, walking dogs, helping at adoption events, fundraising, collecting and dropping off donations, photographing adoptable dogs, etc. Outside of that, you can find her hanging with her own two dogs, Echo and Tahoe, out on a hike, swimming, or road tripping up to Truckee, CA.
